Kamaru Usman, "The Nigerian Nightmare," is a legendary mixed martial artist and the first Nigerian-born champion in UFC history. A dominant wrestler and 2010 NCAA Division II National Champion, he transitioned to MMA in 2012 and captured the UFC Welterweight title in 2019. He famously defended his belt five times and holds the record for the most consecutive wins in welterweight history (15). Most recently, in June 2025, he secured a unanimous decision victory over Joaquin Buckley, bringing his professional record to 21–4.
